Be Part Of Journey Production

Lighting Tech

Journey’s Lighting Techs help our Production Director set up, rig, program, monitor, repair, and operate lighting equipment to enhance the worship experience and ensure lighting is properly operated for our Sunday service and events.

Camera Operator

Journey’s Camera Operators is responsible for capturing and recording all aspects of a service. They use principles of lighting, staging, focusing and filtering to achieve a specific visual look for Journey’s broadcast and online service.

Graphics Operator

This person operates the main media computer running ProPresenter for the duration of service including all slides, lyrics, scriptures, videos, etc. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the lyrics for the songs being performed that service.

Stage Tech

Stage Techs are crew members who assist on sets. They provide a helping hand on audio, video, lighting, and backstage. Stage Techs also set up equipment and help performers get gear packs and microphones ready and will communicate to the production team about how many baptisms are taking place. Duties may vary based on the size and type of production.

Special Event Tech

Looking to be a part of the production team but can’t serve on Sundays? As part of the Special Event Tech Team, you’d serve on the production team for funerals, weddings, camps, and many other events. This would intel running audio, lighting, and ProPresenter for events during the week. This can be a great opportunity to volunteer for Journey and learn the basics of production with our Production Director.

Next Gen Production

To maintain a developmental atmosphere that pours into students as much as possible, we prioritize having middle school students, high school students, and young adult instrumentalist and vocalists join our team for Journey Kids and Journey Students services.

Green Room Host

Help set up, organize, and restock food and supplies in the Green Room to create a welcoming space for our worship and production volunteers. This role ensures the room is clean, stocked, and ready to serve our teams each week.

Meet Your Leader

Hunter Jackson - Production Director

I’m the Production Director here at Journey, and I believe my calling is to help people encounter the presence of God whether they’re in the room, watching online, or catching the message later at home in their pajamas. With a background in live concerts, recording studios, and interactive and digital media, I felt God call me into ministry to use my passion for tech and creativity to elevate the church experience and make the Gospel clear and accessible to everyone!

Production isn’t just buttons and faders, it’s the heartbeat behind the scenes—a sacred act of worship that creates space for people to meet Jesus and encounter the greatest story ever told, week after week.

I’m married to my lovely wife, Sarah Jackson. We met back in college, and music has been the melody that bonded our lives together. We just welcomed our first little rocker into the world, our son Lincoln. Being a husband and a dad is the best part of my life.

I’m a bassist through and through. Blues, funk, and ’90s alt rock are my sweet spot. I could talk for hours about coffee, Dungeons & Dragons, and Marvel superheroes.

What I love most about Journey is that it’s a place where faith meets action and where people are empowered to step into God’s purpose for their lives. It’s a church that believes God can use every gift—technical, creative, or relational—to make Jesus known. I’m grateful to be part of a team that builds His Kingdom with excellence, passion, and joy.
