Prayer Teams

15 min. per day. 7 days x 3 levels per day.
Hospital Visitation
Visitation Ministry
Talk briefly (3-5 min) with a person in a difficult situation, communicate compassion and pray with them or family members.
Maturity, discretion, and a willing heart.
1.5 hours (as needed).
Sunday Baptism Helper
Baptism Support
Assist in the baptism process - greet person and family, help them get ready, explain what they need to do, clean up the baptism area afterward.
No special skills are required.
Requires approximately 45 minutes. Arrive 15 minutes before the service begins, help with baptism, and clean up.
Laundry Helper
Baptism Support
Pick up wet baptismal laundry after last worship service on Sunday. Wash and dry laundry, and return to Journey changing rooms by Wednesday night.
No special skills are required.
Approximately 2.5 hours per week.
Weekly Baptism Helper

Approximately 30-60 minutes, plus laundry time (as needed).
Small Group Leader

Lead a group for anger, life ministries, Women at Rest, or teens.
Some skiil in managing people in the "care" fields. Must be willing to be trained and commit to 12-week minimum program and prep work.
4 hours per week (2 hours prep and 2 hours for group).
Prayer Corner Partner
Pastoral Care
Multiple prayer corners in Worship Center and Atrium. Meet with people, listen, and care for the hearts of those in need.
Willingness to learn.
1 hour per week, 1 hour training per month.
Card Sender
Pastoral Care Correspondence
Send cards to those on the prayer list. Pray for each request on the list.
Maturity and discretion.
1-2 hours per week (as needed).
