 Short And Sweet This Week

 

-A huge "Yeah God!" for the 220 people who became towel-bearers at the Volunteer Expo last weekend. We thank God for every person who is choosing to live beyond themselves. Jesus asked us to pray for the Lord of the harvest to send additional workers into the fields. He has, and we are so grateful.

 

-How about my man Louis Smolowe? Was he awesome or what? Loaves and Fishes wants to bottle him up and take him on the road to represent them. I think Louis is going to do well in the state competition.

 

-Support our grads this weekend. There is a bumper crop of them, which means we we will be losing a lot of leadership from some great seniors in student ministry. The good news is we have some great underclassman who are ready to step up.

 

-Are you ready to step out of the boat? That we will be the theme of our next message series starting the weekend of June 2/3. Jesus and Peter walking on the water together is the focus from the Scriptures. I think this will be a great follow up to the Living Beyond Myself series, because there's a time to sign up and there's a time to step out.

 

-Saying it right now: Best August ever is coming at Journey!

 

-Anybody want to go to Israel with me and Melinda in February 2013? I'm serious. More details to come.
