CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

8 weeks - 14 months old

Cuddle and care for Journey’s littlest people while sharing God’s love through an exceptional inter-active Bible lesson that introduces them to what God made, Jesus, and the Bible.

14 months – 23 months

Guide busy little hands and hearts toward their Heavenly Father through interactive Bible lessons that build a Biblical foundation and a love for God. 

24 months – 35 months

Nurture their early understanding of God using all 5 senses through interactive Bible lessons that are fun and easy to share.

Facilitate a variety of activities, relate a Bible story, share in a fun worship experience, and encourage children to openly communicate with God in their own words, expressing their love for who He is and praise Him for all He has created.

Lead dynamic discussion and Bible lessons that teach Wisdom - “I need to make the wise choice,” Faith - “I can trust God no matter what,” and Friendship - “I should treat others the way I want to be treated.”

LIVE! Weekly production designed to equip children and leaders with tools and talking points to guide classroom discussions and activities.  You’ll have a blast teaching the truth of God’s Word--the Big Idea--and how to apply it to everyday life, through music and acting.

Wednesday Evening Programming

Be the Salt and Light for children desiring God, while parents attend Bible studies.  Enjoy a more casual time together learning God’s Word and applying it to everyday life.

This is a great behind the scenes at-your-own-pace type of volunteer opportunity.  Serve during the week, day-time or evenings tidying classrooms, replenishing supplies, and wiping surfaces and toys with people/earth friendly germicidal.

In-office or Take-home Projects

Assist our Curriculum & Supplies Coordinator with assembly of items for craft projects, cutting shapes, sorting, gluing, etc.

SS Kids - Super Special Kids  Click here!

(Preschool - 18 years old)

Every Sunday, our SS Kids’ program ministers to families who have special needs children.  Children with special needs are paired with a trained Journey volunteer for one-on-one care and assistance in their classroom.  SS Kids’ volunteers also assist children, in our Special Needs Classroom, who are not able to mainstream into a classroom of peers.  The SS Kids’ program frees parents to attend worship, studies, and serve in other ministries while their children are taught how much Jesus loves them!

Buddy Break   Click here!

Buddy Break is a FREE program designed to give caregivers of children with special needs (and their siblings) a 3-hour break or respite from their care-giving responsibilities.  VIP’s (kids with special needs) are paired with a Buddy (Journey volunteer) for one-on-one attention while playing games, doing crafts, hearing and singing music, bouncing, pet therapy, watching live performances and more!  To register as a VIP or Buddy, please contact BuddyBreakJourney@yahoo.com.

Training provided in all areas.  Flexible serving opportunities from 1 to 4 Sundays per month.  All teaching materials and supplies provided for your convenience.
